We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to join a brand-new solo EBD children’s home supporting one young person on a 2:1 staffing ratio.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new home from the very beginning, where relationships, care and consistency come first.
Salary: £13 per hour | £60 per sleep
Hours: 165–173 hours per month (including 2 monthly team meetings)
Shift Pattern
We are very flexible and open to:
Single shifts
Double or triple shifts
Long day sleeps (10 per month)
Long Day Sleep:
10am – 11pm | Sleep | 7am – 10.30am (handover)
About the Role
Support one child with emotional and behavioural difficulties
Create a safe, nurturing, home-from-home environment
Build positive relationships and provide consistent care
Promote routines, boundaries, education and emotional development
Work as part of a small, dedicated team
What We’re Looking For
Experience in residential childcare is essential
Qualification is desirable but not essential
Caring, passionate, and reliable with strong personal values
Someone with personality who genuinely wants to make a difference
Able to work flexibly and professionally
Development & Culture
We are passionate about upskilling and developing adults.
The Registered Manager and Deputy provide regular 1:1 development sessions, with a strong focus on growth, confidence and leadership.
This is not an institutional home – it’s warm, child-centred and relationship-led.

Safeguarding & Compliance
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, suitable references, and all required safer recruitment checks in line with residential childcare regulations.
