Crynodeb

Are you looking to truly make a difference? Join our dedicated team and help transform the lives of young people every day.

At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 2 – 5 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with traumatic backgrounds.

The Pivot Academy Kirklees offers a therapeutic nurture provision for learners with complex social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and other associated needs. We recognise each of our learners as unique with different experiences and offer a pathway to reflect their individual needs and support success.

In this role, you will work in collaboration with the SENCO, Pastoral & Welfare Lead, the learner, their families and other professionals to formulate, agree and be a key part of delivering a personalised transition plan for learners moving in to or out of Pivot. The Transition Lead will play an important role in ensuring that positive and robust links are established and maintained between home and school, making the transition process as seamless as possible.

This role will include working across the local area and visiting learners in other settings and the home environment, therefore, the ability to drive and have access to a car is essential for this role.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our student’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

Don’t miss this opportunity, visit our website www.pivot.group.uk, and apply now by completing an application form and returning to the HR team at recruitment@pivot-group.co.uk.

Closing Date: 6 January 2026

Interviews: 16 January 2025

We are committed to safeguarding our young people and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing.

During the shortlisting process, Pivot will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of its due diligence.
