Part time vacancy 29.6 hours per weekWe are expanding our HR team and are looking for 2 proactive and motivated Payroll Administrators to join our busy Payroll team which is part of the Human Resources Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working to deadlines, and is committed to delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service. You will build strong working relationships across the organisation and contribute to a team with a strong customer‑service ethos and a positive, “can‑do” approach.The working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate. Hybrid working will be available, allowing some days to be worked from home, following completion of the initial training and probation period.About the RoleAs a key member of the Payroll team, you will be responsible for:Processing new starters, contractual changes affecting pay, and leaversMaintaining accurate payroll records and inputting dataCalculating statutory payments, including sickness and maternityProcessing variable pay elements such as overtime, resolving any discrepanciesResponding to payroll queries and providing clear, confident advice to managers and staff at the CollegeSupporting the wider HR team by answering routine queries on HR and payroll policies and proceduresPreparing and submitting required payroll-related reports including costing, to FinanceDistributing employee payslips and other statutory payroll documents.Drafting and sending formal correspondence to confirm amendments to employee salaries.Maintaining filing systems to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records for all staffTo succeed in this role, you will bring:Recent and relevant administrative experience in a payroll environmentExcellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high‑quality customer serviceStrong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlinesHigh attention to detail and accuracyConfidence in providing payroll advice and guidance to managersThe ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamExperience using Microsoft Office and web‑based systemsA Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent)A payroll qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.Interview date: To Be Confirmed
