Are you the inspirational, forward-thinking leader ready to make a real difference at our school?

The Governing Body of Coety Primary School is appointing an effective, ambitious and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. In this role, you lead all aspects of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Inclusion, manage a department and its staff, and drive strategic developments that strengthen our provision. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior leader who wants to broaden their strategic influence within a thriving, inclusive school.

Coety Primary School cultivates a forward-thinking learning community with high expectations, a strong commitment to professional growth, and a culture that enables every pupil to succeed. As Assistant Headteacher, you contribute to whole-school improvement, model high-quality teaching and strengthen our inclusive ethos.

What We Offer:

- Wonderful, enthusiastic children and highly engaged parents who take pride in the school and show genuine passion for learning and inclusion.

- A welcoming, committed team united by a shared vision and strong values.

- A culture of collaboration, trust and ambition, where staff support and challenge one another to excel.

- Supportive leadership and rich Professional Learning opportunities that promote continuous growth.

- A significant strategic leadership role that enables you to shape a key area of school improvement with whole-school impact.

- A deeply inclusive community where inclusion is lived daily, not simply stated.

You Will:

- Deliver excellent classroom practice with experience across the primary age range.

- Lead a department effectively, managing staff with clarity, support and high expectations.

- Apply strong knowledge of ALN and drive improvements in inclusive provision across the school.

- Set strategic direction for teaching, learning and key school improvement priorities.

- Promote the Welsh language and uphold the school’s values and ethos.

- Use strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and support others.

- Maintain high expectations for pupil learning, behaviour, wellbeing and care.

- Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm and reflective practice, continually seeking improvement.

- Work closely with the Headteacher, SLT and Governors to drive strategic priorities.

- Aspire to senior leadership progression, bringing ambition to develop further as a future deputy headteacher.

This is an exciting time to join Coety Primary School. If you are driven to make a meaningful difference and ready to step into a role that will challenge, stretch and develop your leadership, we look forward to receiving your application.

Coety Primary School is committed to safeguarding and to providing equality for all. We welcome applications from leaders who will make a positive contribution to our vibrant, inclusive school community.
