Summary

Occupational Safety Advisor - Scotland

Location: Highlands of Scotland (Hybrid - 3 days on site / 2 days remote)
Working Week: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months + potential extension
Rate: £550-£575 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Eligibility: Full UK working rights required

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and highly skilled Occupational Safety Advisor to join a major infrastructure project in the Highlands. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by shaping safety culture and ensuring the highest standards across a complex, high-profile environment.
You'll be the go-to expert for safety advice, working closely with project teams and contractors to deliver a safe, compliant, and collaborative worksite. If you thrive on influencing positive change and enjoy working in dynamic environments, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical, professional safety guidance to project and site teams.
  • Monitor compliance with CDM Regulations and engage with contractors to achieve an incident-free project.
  • Review and develop safety documentation for clients, designers, and contractors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and safety campaigns.
  • Champion a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across all areas.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in occupational safety within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, especially CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and ideally IOSH membership.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Valid UK driving licence (due to travel requirements).
  • Full UK Working Rights
