JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a teenager living in the Ely area of Cardiff. My hobbies include drawing, gaming, going to the cinema and Marvel movies. I have a diagnosis of Autism and can feel overwhelmed in crowded or noisy places. I like to know what’s planned in advance so I know what’s going on. I can be shy at first but it’s important that a good rapport is built up.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To support me out in the community and to encourage me to socialise.
PLACE OF WORK
In my home and out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
3 Hours available each week.
1.5 hours x 2 social calls.
Days and times to be discussed at interviews.
RATE OF PAY
£14.65 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
Going out into the community and doing an activity of my choice.
Going to the gym.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone friendly, kind and patient.
Car owner and driver essential.
Someone who shares common interest as me.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
Please Note: Dewis Centre for Independent Living is acting on behalf of a third party and will not be your employer or be liable for any issues arising out of your employment should you be offered employment.
Thank you.
