Crynodeb
To lead and coordinate the Echocardiography service To provide and develop a high quality ultrasound service to the Regional Cardiothoracic Centre in order to treat patients on both a regional and supra-regional basis. To specialise in displaying, interpreting and reporting independently detailed transthoracic ultrasound scans (Echocardiograms) on a day-to-day basis, essential in the diagnosis and prognosis of patients across a wide range of services. To develop the regional Stress echo service and transoesophageal service. To train a wide variety of staff groups in the specialist techniques of diagnostic Cardiac ultrasound. To be flexible in working within other area when service needs demand To assist with rota management of staff working in this area across sites including electronic roster database management To manage appraisals of staff working in the department. To assist the Professional Lead Cardiac Physiologist in business cases and running of overall service.
