Crynodeb
The University Hospitals Sussex East Critical Care Service manages 43 level 2-3 Intensive Care beds. It admits around 3600 patients a year, 40% medical and 60% surgical (including Cardiac and Neurosurgery). There is a separate Cardiothoracic intensive care unit adjacent to the main ICU and staffed by the Cardiac ICU team.
