Crynodeb
To provide support and care to patients with colorectal cancer and their families. Acting as the key worker and bridging the transition of care between specialty teams. You will be a good team player, but also be willing and able to work autonomously. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate ability to work in a multi disciplinary setting. The role is emotionally demanding, so experience of working with patients with cancer essential. Assist and ensure treatment is delivered in appropriate time frames, in accordance with national cancer guideline. Work collaboratively with all members of the MDT at UHS and in referring centres to ensure all patients receive the highest level of specialist care and support. Clinically, the successful applicant will support the MDT to deliver high quality, holistic care for all patients with proven and suspected colorectal cancer, from diagnosis to discharge. We need someone that is capable of using their skills and knowledge across the sub specialties that make up the team. We are looking for an individual, who will intrinsically live the organizational values and will foster a culture of learning, development and excellence in nursing care delivery for patients and deliver stratified approaches to care for patients with Colorectal Cancers. We want to find a well motivate nurse to support become part of an experienced and highly respected team, ensure excellence in person-centred care and support the expert specialty teams to deliver the quality of service which we all strive to achieve in all we do.
