Summary
To provide support and care to patients with colorectal cancer and their families. Acting as the key worker and bridging the transition of care between speciality teams. You will be a good team player, but also be willing and able to work autonomously. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work in a multidisciplinary setting. The role is emotionally demanding, so experience of working with patients with cancer is essential. Assist and ensure treatment is delivered in appropriate time frames, in accordance with the national cancer guidelines. Work collaboratively with all members of the MDT at UHS and in referring centres to ensure all patients receive the highest level of specialist care and support. Clinically, the successful applicant will support the MDT to deliver high-quality, holistic care for all patients with proven and suspected colorectal cancer, from diagnosis to discharge. We need someone who is capable of using their skills and knowledge across the sub-specialities that make up the team. We are looking for an individual who will intrinsically live the organisational values and will foster a culture of learning, development and excellence in nursing care delivery for patients and deliver stratified approaches to care for patients with Colorectal Cancers.
