We cannot provide advice to candidates at the application stage and will only discuss visa routes with candidates who are invited to interview.
The Study Advice team are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and proactive individual to provide academic advice and support to our Home Foundation Year students. You will deliver lectures and seminars on study skills including academic writing, time management etc.; provide one to one study advice on an appointment basis; and develop learning and teaching resources, including video tutorials and online guides.

This job is based in the Library at our Whiteknights campus. The Library offers a friendly, dynamic working environment and is strongly committed to continuing professional development and staff training.
You will have :

- A postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience of providing one to one advice and guidance in a higher education setting
- Experience of teaching effective study practices e.g. academic writing, report writing, research skills, time management
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent listening, written communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of teaching and learning, the study practices students need for success and an understanding of current trends and issues in higher education
- Excellent organisation and time management skills and a creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to work and engage with colleagues at varying levels
- A strong commitment to a high standard of user-focused service delivery
