Work hours: 30 hours, working 4 days a week from 09:30 – 17:00
Job Type: Fixed term/ part time role for 18 months.
Location: Based at Eastern Angles office; role will include travel across Suffolk and East Anglia, and attendance at performances/events.

We are excited to welcome a Development and Partnership Officer to our imaginative and supportive team. In this role you will lead on fundraising, income generation, and strategic partnership building.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising and Income Generation
• Develop and implement a refreshed fundraising strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
• Identify and apply for grants, statutory funding, trusts, foundations, sponsorship, and corporate giving.
• Cultivate, steward and grow relationships with individual donors, patrons and supporters.
• Manage a portfolio of funders and supporters with high-quality stewardship, reporting and engagement.
Administration, Monitoring & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of pledges, donations, grants and supporter data (CRM/mailing tool).
• Prepare grant applications, budgets, reports, evaluations and funding proposals as required to major funders including Arts Council England.
• Work with the Artistic Director / CEO to forecast income and assess funding targets.
Partnership, Outreach & Community Engagement
• Facilitate collaborative projects, touring partnerships, and community engagement activities (e.g. heritage theatre tours, youth theatre programmes).
• Engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for in-kind support, sponsorship, venue hire and audience development.
Events and Supporter Engagement
• Plan and deliver fundraising and supporter events (e.g. donor evenings, patron events, corporate showcases, and galas).
• Work with marketing, production and participation teams to integrate fundraising and engagement opportunities into the wider artistic programme.
Team Collaboration & Strategy
• Work closely with artistic, production, engagement and marketing teams to embed fundraising and partnerships from the earliest stages of project development.
• Help shape long-term organisational strategy, sustainability planning, and growth of Eastern Angles’ reach and impact.
About You
• You have a demonstratable track record in fundraising, income generation or business development in the arts, charity or cultural sector.
• Experience writing successful grant applications and managing trust/ corporate/ individual donor portfolios.
• Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, proposal writing and financial literacy (budgeting, income tracking).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to inclusion, community engagement and the mission of Eastern Angles.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends or travel as required by touring/partner engagements.
