Are you a skilled Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to specialise and help children with ASD grow and learn? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist educational setting in the Newark area where pupils are supported in small groups and staff work closely together to make a genuine difference every day. You'll be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team that values structure, teamwork and individualised support. This is a setting where progress is recognised, relationships are strong and staff are given the time and support to do their job well.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism
- Support structured learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Encourage communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Follow individual support plans and contribute to monitoring progress
- Help maintain a calm, positive and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively as part of a specialist SEND team
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience supporting children with Autism
- Confidence working with pupils who have additional needs
- A consistent, caring and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
