Hannett Hale, Cumbria’s fastest-growing education supply agency, is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-regarded group of primary schools in the Barrow-In-Furness area. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants, Senior Teaching Assistants, and Qualified Teachers to join supportive school teams from January 2026.
About the Roles
Depending on your experience and qualifications, you’ll be supporting or leading in:
- Classroom support – working alongside teachers to assist with small groups and individual pupils
- Delivering interventions – supporting literacy, numeracy, and wider learning needs
- Teaching responsibilities – planning and delivering engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2
What We’re Looking For
For TA/STA roles:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing
For Teacher roles:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching across KS1 & KS2
- A strong understanding of differentiated learning
- Excellent classroom management and collaboration skills
