Summary
The Head Chef will assume the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation to uphold the restaurant's standards of quality, providing guidance to other chefs and junior kitchen staff, implementing a first-in, first-out food rotation system, and ensuring well-stocked cooking stations, especially during peak hours. Additionally, they will engage in recipe experimentation, recommend new ingredients, determine appropriate food ordering quantities, and maintain adequate supplies. Responsibilities also extend to enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and ensuring high-quality standards for products sourced from suppliers. Furthermore, it is advisable for establishments offering Bengali cuisine to recruit Bengali chefs either based in the UK or from Bangladesh, as their expertise in preserving nuanced flavours and dedication to the art of traditional Bengali cuisine significantly enhance the dining experience.
