Summary

Tandoori Chef:
In search of a skilled Tandoori Chef, we seek an individual who can not only develop and plan menus, including daily Tandoori specials, but also provide expert recommendations to the Head Chef, considering the availability of raw materials. The ideal candidate will possess a flair for improvising traditional Indian Tandoori dishes, ensuring that each creation is made to order and exceeds customer satisfaction in taste, presentation, and appeal.
Key responsibilities include modifying recipes to meet customer preferences, overseeing the Tandoori oven with meticulous attention to temperature control and maintenance, and selecting premium ingredients for the best aroma, flavour, and texture. The Tandoori Chef will lead Tandoori cooking operations, coordinating the kitchen team to deliver flawless execution and maintaining an organised schedule for supporting staff.
This role requires hands-on preparation of Tandoori dishes under the guidance of the Head Chef, as well as coaching and supervision of other kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven track record with at least 2 years of experience as a Tandoori Chef, preferably within a prestigious Indian dining establishment.
• Comprehensive understanding of Indian cuisine, with a particular expertise in Tandoori cooking methods.
• Proficiency in the operation and oversight of Tandoori ovens, ensuring optimal performance and quality of dishes.
• Demonstrated creativity in elevating flavours through adept marinating and seasoning techniques.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining efficiency without compromising on quality.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations, implementing safe food handling practices at all times.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the demands of the culinary industry.
