Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Fordhouses, Wolverhampton WV10

Hours of work: 13 hours per week.

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Job purpose:

To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:

Our client is looking to recruit 2 Personal Assistants to join their team to provide support with all daily living tasks for their 20-year-old son who has cerebral palsy and is non-verbal.

Main duties:

Social duties:

- Support with sensory play

Personal care: Support with all daily personal care. Hoist to be used on all transfers. Administering medication via a Nasogastric Tube feed which training will be provided.

- Values someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
- Specific requirements: Must have previous experience of working in care. PA must attend training for this role which is paid. PA must be flexible with working hours.

Essential:

- Previous care & support experience
- Good at building relationships

- Good communicator
- Flexible with working hours
- Ability to support people with complex care needs

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
