Summary
The role
We are seeking an efficient, adaptable and resourceful Personal Assistant who is comfortable working with senior leaders in a busy and fast-paced environment. Key tasks include monitoring mailboxes and managing diary requests; arranging and supporting meetings; booking travel and accommodation; maintaining action logs and other administrative tasks to support the smooth working of the leadership team.
Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to prioritise your own work, plan ahead and take the initiative to resolve issues. You will be helpful, proactive and positive in your outlook, caring towards your colleagues and willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service. Working closely with two or three senior leaders, you will be able to provide a strong sense of organisation and control, ensuring the best use of their time and readiness for each working week.
The role sits within the Enabling Services PA Team, a small and friendly team of experienced PAs who support the Executive and Leadership Team across three directorates at NRW. The role specifically serves the Communications, Customer and Commercial directorate, where you will work closely with another PA to ensure responsive and resilient support for the leadership team. As you may spend several days a week working remotely, you need to be self-driven and able to work effectively with limited supervision, though you will have regular contact with your team leader and team colleagues for support and guidance when needed.
Written and spoken Welsh language skills are essential for this role, as meetings may be held in Welsh and you may need to read and respond to documents and correspondence in Welsh. You will play an important part in helping us to deliver a bilingual service to colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
This role has no line management responsibilities.
