Crynodeb
Forming an integral support within Children, Young People and Family Services, the post holder will be responsible for calculating, processing, distribution and co-ordinating a variety of financial payments direct to families/young people/organisations. Cash handling and accurate recording following financial protocol. Producing budget reports for senior managers to allow for forecasting and planning and investigating discrepancies. Dealing with payment enquiries from children and young people, companies and agencies involving highly sensitive/confidential information and rectifying discrepancies.
Responsible for supporting the Professional Practice Team Leader and Building Location Manager with day-to-day management of the full building, ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to. Contributes to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive working environment in the building by ensuring corporate Health and Safety checks are carried out, accidents/incidents and building maintenance repairs are reported and rectified in line with Corporate Health and Safety policies. Conducts weekly Health and Safety Building inspections including fire safety checks, support with the disposal of obsolete equipment for the full building, identifying building hazards/building maintenance issues and reporting.
The post holder will also be required to provide an efficient, accurate and responsive customer focused administration support ensuring compliance with procedures and practices to support the delivery of efficient front line services. Experience of working at a fast pace in an office / administration environment and using Microsoft office systems is essential.
Other duties will include; covering with reception duties, dealing with enquiries face to face and by telephone from members of the public, vulnerable young people, families and internal/external agencies. Supporting various teams with numerous tasks at times involving highly sensitive and confidential information. Maintaining specific databases, inputting and extracting data, procurement functions. The preparation and production of documents in a professional style using a range of software packages.
We welcome applications from candidates who have sound experience in using their initiative, able to plan use of own time and work to deadline and switch from task to task working at a fast pace, sound analytical and numeracy skills and excellent interpersonal and Communication skills.
NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification, skills and experience specific to the requirements of the post is essential as is GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
It is expected working hours will be 18.5hrs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday am. This position is office based.
