Crynodeb
Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a registered nurse (NMC & RCN) to join our Health Centre team of four, supporting a community of nearly 1,000 pupils, many of whom are boarders. Paediatric, School Nurse, or SCPHN qualification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, clinically effective nursing care to pupils and Foundation staff.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, and treat pupils, including first aid and emergency care.
- Collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, and other health professionals.
- Support pupils’ return to health and participation in school activities.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records, care plans, and adhere to safeguarding policies.
- Ensure Health Centre compliance with NHS, NMC, CQC, and ISI standards.
- Provide training to staff on health management and emergency interventions.
Working Hours & On-Call:
- Rota-based, 08:00–17:00, Monday to Saturday, with evening and weekend on-call duties.
Desirable Skills:
- Asthma specialist, phlebotomy, immunisations, triage, first responder experience.
