Summary


Manage the car parking contractor for the Trust including the issuing of staff and visitor permits.

Dealing with queries and complaints and contractors to ensure car parks remain operational and safe.

Manage the Trust wide car / vehicle parking service, compliant with national regulations and guidance that may be relevant.

Be the lead and central point of contact for all car parking related matters, exercising the necessary skills and experience in administrative tasks to provide a high quality, responsive and efficient car parking service, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail whilst assisting in ensuring that all systems, policies and procedures are developed and maintained.

Develop and implement vehicle / car parking policies, procedures and parking systems including a portal-based self-serve systems, processing permit applications and the permit database, managing changes to vehicles and other circumstances, payments, temporary permits, concessions, penalty charge notices, salary deductions, complaints, record keeping, special events, management of / liaison with the external car parking management company, liaising with host trusts / landlords, car parking improvement projects, car parking report writing and all other aspects of managing and delivering a complex vehicle / car parking service provision.

The post holder will manage the Trust wide car / vehicle parking service and will be the central point of contact for all car parking related matters, exercising the necessary skills and experience in administrative tasks to provide a high quality, responsive and efficient vehicle / car parking service, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail whilst assisting in ensuring that all systems, policies and procedures are developed and maintained.

The post holder will be competent in data inputting with a good knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications. Sound communication skills are vital, as is the ability to prioritise workload. The post-holder must be able to work independently and follow the policies and procedures for the department whilst using their own initiative and keeping line manager and senior colleagues informed.

The post holder will also provide general administrative support to the Estates Directorate.

This is a role with lots of variety and ad hoc demands and the post-holder will demonstrate excellent time management and planning skills. This post may develop over time to meet the specific needs of the directorate and the changing demands on the service.

The post-holder will participate fully as an Estates & Facilities member taking an active role in the co-ordination of the car parking service and helping to provide a responsive and caring service to our clients/staff.

The post holder will be a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effecting use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of services and initiatives.
