Remarkable Jobs are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of smart parking technologies.
We are seeking a Regional Maintenance Engineer to support the performance, reliability and compliance of smart parking systems across Kettering and the surrounding region. This is a hands-on, varied engineering role involving both planned and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will be home-based and travel regularly across the regional patch, with some additional ad-hoc travel outside the area when required.
Regional Maintenance Engineer Role:
As a Regional Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and fault-finding on a range of smart parking technologies, including cameras, sensors, signage, power, and associated infrastructure. Using a combination of remote diagnostics and on-site inspections, you will help ensure systems operate efficiently and meet service and compliance standards.
Regional Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain smart parking hardware including cameras, sensors, signage, posts, power systems and related equipment.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance inspections and proactive service visits
• Attend reactive faults and breakdowns within SLA timeframes.
• Use remote monitoring platforms to identify issues and complete root cause analysis.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, surveyors and support teams to deliver service excellence.
• Maintain accurate ISO-compliant documentation, reports and technical records.
• Support wider engineering projects including upgrades, installations, and signage works.
What They Are Looking For:
Essential:
• Proven background in maintenance or engineering within CCTV, parking technology, smart infrastructure, or similar fields.
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills, with experience using remote monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards (RAMS, PPE, Working at Height).
• Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office; data reporting tools desirable).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Kettering and surrounding areas, with occasional travel further afield.
• DBS check required.
Desirable:
• Experience with Power BI, SQL or advanced reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with ISO compliance processes and documentation.
