An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Participation & Development Officer to join our highly effective Student Experience & Wellbeing team reporting to our Student Experience & Wellbeing Manager – Personal Development. You’ll be working alongside our amazing, inspirational, friendly and hard-working staff to ensure we provide aspirational and inclusive learning opportunities to all our students.
As a Participation & Development Officer with Etc. you will be responsible for design, implementation, promotion and (where appropriate) delivery of a diverse and inclusive personal development provision, that offers students opportunities to develop a range of personal skills. You will motivate and engage students to participate, whilst gathering and analysing participation data and learner feedback to shape the personal development provision.
The post is a cross-group role, based primarily at our Bede Sixth Form College site 3 days per week with 2 days based at Redcar & Cleveland College, working flexibly across all sites as needed, therefore transport and willingness to travel is essential.
The ideal candidate will be organised, empathetic and approachable, with excellent communication and IT skills, and experience of working with and supporting people of various ages and abilities.
The candidate should be educated to Level 3 (or equivalent) standard, with a Level 2 in English & Maths. Experience in planning, promoting, and delivering a range of activities is essential, whilst experience of working in an education environment is advantageous.
