You will have proven knowledge of the health and care sector and be passionate about teaching and learning as well as supporting individuals to develop and grow. We are seeking an exceptional individual to support us on our journey to becoming the provider of choice for professional healthcare programmes in the region.
Are you highly motivated and passionate about supporting and developing student and apprentices in clinical practice? If so, you can make a real difference in helping our students and apprentices to achieve their full potential. Applicants must have strong team working skills, in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to hold NMC registration, with comprehensive post registration experience and an understanding of the wider sector. Experience in a mental health setting is welcomed.

You will provide support and guidance to students and apprentices throughout their practice education experiences, collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective and coordinated learning experiences, and participate in quality improvement initiatives related to practice education.
Responsibilities of this post will include:
• Facilitate practice education experiences for students and apprentices in various settings, ensuring they are appropriate, safe, and meet learning objectives.
• Provide support and guidance to students and apprentices during their practice education experiences, including feedback on their performance and debriefing after experiences.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as educators, preceptors, and supervisors, to ensure that students and apprentices receive effective and coordinated practice education experiences.
• Participate in the development and delivery of professional educational programmes to support practice education, including orientation and training for students and apprentices, preceptors, and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student and apprentice practice education experiences and evaluations.
• Monitor and report on student and apprentice progress and performance during their practice education experiences.

Where you’ll work:
In this role, you’ll be based in the Nursing team within the Department of Allied Health and Nursing, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth. The Department of Allied Health and Nursing delivers a broad range of health programmes including courses leading to professional registration and healthcare apprenticeships. We launched our new suite of programmes from January 2023, all in partnership with our valued employers across the Integrated Care System (ICS). We are seeking to recruit passionate individuals to join our growing team to support the delivery of these exciting developments.
Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will be required to maintain both strong campus and practice-based links and be available on-site or in practice at least 3 days per week.
