What You’ll Do
• Lead daily ward rounds and manage respiratory patients.
• Perform pleural procedures including drainage and aspiration.
• Supervise junior doctors and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in outpatient clinics and quality improvement projects.
What We’re Looking For
• MBChB, MBBS or equivalent, ideally with MRCP.
• Experience in respiratory medicine at registrar level.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead under pressure.
• Commitment to personal development and teamwork.



Clinical Care:Lead daily ward rounds, manage respiratory patients, and perform procedures such as pleural drainage and aspiration.

Leadership:Supervise junior doctors and foster teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Outpatient Work:Option to participate in respiratory clinics and develop advanced procedural skills.

Professional Development:Engage in CPD, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Communication:Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.

Base:Great Western Hospital, Swindon.Grade:Specialty Doctor.Reporting to:Clinical Lead in Respiratory Medicine.Hours:Full-time (Monday–Friday), with part-time options available.Key Responsibilities:• Lead ward rounds and handover meetings.
• Perform pleural procedures and manage acutely unwell patients.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior doctors.
• Participate in outpatient clinics and develop procedural skills.
• Engage in audits, research, and quality improvement projects.
