Summary
The post will provide clinical leadership to SLT staff in the Preston team, as well as the development of clinical pathways across Lancashire. The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical expertise in Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) across Central and West and Pennine SLT teams. This will involve regular updates of the DLD clinical pathway in line with the current evidence base, updating and providing DLD specific training for SLTs, parents and wider professionals and providing second opinions for SLTs working with children with DLD across the Trust.
You will manage a complex caseload and be capable of working autonomously to provide direct clinical care. You will be able to provide effective clinical and professional supervision, be able to identify training needs of individuals and lead on the delivery of suitable training, demonstrating high level, expert speech and language therapy skills and knowledge. This is a fixed term post, 26 hours a week, to cover maternity leave, for a period of 12 months.
