The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Psychology Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching within a dynamic, forward-department. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting learners and confident in delivering of Psychology. Your contribution will play a vital part in helping students achieve key qualifications that support progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Psychology.
· Plan, prepare, and assess teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements and learner needs.
· Support and motivate learners with varying abilities to ensure successful outcomes.
· Monitor learner progress and provide constructive, timely feedback.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall learner experience.
· Contribute to departmental meetings, quality processes, and curriculum development.
· Maintain accurate records in accordance with college policies and awarding body guidelines.
Educations, Skills and Experience:
· Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
· A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed).
· Proven experience delivering Psychology within a post-16 or FE environment.
· Strong knowledge of the Psychology curriculum.
· Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
· A learner-centred approach and a commitment to supporting positive outcomes for all students.
· An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
