Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am a young girl living in the Llangyfelach area of Swansea. I am non-verbal. I am young in my ways and will need a Personal Assistant to change me. I love Peppa Pig, being outdoors, at the beach, and water. I communicate by showing pictures.
A PA with experience would be an advantage. I am looking for 2 x PAs to work together.
Driver required to take me out.
Hours of work
4 hours per week during term time.
6 hours per week during school holidays.
Rate of pay
£13.13
Essential
I need you to:
• Drive, to be able to take me out;
• Change my nappy when needed;
• Be willing to undertake any training identified as relating to the post e.g. Manual Handling Course, Basic First Aid, etc.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You have previous experience;
• You could provide extra hours on occasions.
I’d like support with:
• Going outdoors to the beach;
• Going where I can run and play;
• Going to burn some energy.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality;
Be confident, mature and have patience;
Be dependable and arrive on time;
Be friendly with an easy-going manner;
Be adaptable and flexible;
Be supportive but not take over;
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
