Chemistry Teacher – Woking
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Start Date: January 2026 – July 2026 (2 terms)
A school in the Woking area is seeking a full-time temporary Chemistry Teacher to join the department from January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality KS3 and GCSE lessons and contributing to the continued success of the Science department.
Essential Requirements
• Recent experience teaching Chemistry/Science to students aged 11–16
• A relevant teaching qualification
• Proven experience delivering KS3 & GCSE classes
• A current Enhanced DBS
• Availability to start in January 2026

• Strong subject knowledge, with experience in planning and assessing pupil learning
• Awareness of current curriculum issues and developments, including curriculum design
• Excellent communication skills when engaging with staff, pupils, and parents
• Ability to effectively manage the learning of individuals, groups, and whole classes
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise department tasks
• Effective interpersonal skills to support positive working relationships
