  • Engage with children and young people affected by domestic abuse and support access to therapeutic services
  • Undertake interviews with both survivors and perpetrators to inform holistic risk and needs assessments
  • Work proactively with complex cases, including community and home visits where required
  • Advocate for survivors within professional settings such as multi-agency panels and court

Multi-Agency Working

  • Work closely with partner agencies including social care, police, health and specialist services
  • Share information appropriately to jointly assess and manage risk
  • Signpost and coordinate support across local services to meet individual and family needs

Safeguarding & Professional Practice

  • Maintain accurate, timely and confidential case records using electronic systems
  • Contribute to service development through feedback, evaluation and best practice
  • Deliver training and guidance to professionals on domestic abuse and gender-based violence

Service Development & Promotion

  • Support continuous service improvement and accessibility
  • Promote the service through networking, events and partnership working
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, training and clinical supervision

The role requires flexibility, including occasional work outside standard office hours to meet service need.

About You

You will have:

  • Significant experience working with victims/survivors of domestic abuse or individuals with complex needs
  • Strong understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on adults and children
  • Experience of multi-agency working and professional advocacy
  • Confidence managing risk, difficult situations and emotionally challenging work
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills

Qualifications

  • IDVA qualification is desirable
  • Applications welcome from candidates with relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or above), demonstrable equivalent experience, or willingness to complete a relevant qualification within the first year
What We Offer
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development
  • Regular clinical supervision and practice support
  • A supportive, values-driven team environment
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors and families
