Crynodeb
We’re looking for a Programme Manager to take the lead on our Research Recovery Rates Programme - a critical initiative aimed at improving how we recover costs from externally funded research. This is a high-impact role that will run over two years, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference across the University.
About the role
This is your chance to be at the heart of a major institutional initiative, working with senior leaders and making a real impact on how research is funded and sustained. You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, committed to enabling world-class research.
You will:
* lead and drive the Research Recovery Rates programme from inception to delivery
* work closely with the Head of Research Funding and the Director of Research and Impact Services to shape strategy and ensure alignment with institutional goals
* collaborate across departments to engage interested parties, capture insights, and implement change
* develop and manage project plans, timelines, and reporting mechanisms
* find opportunities for improvement and innovation in cost recovery processes
About you
You will:
* have proven experience of working in a research or higher education setting, with a top-level understanding of research costing and funding management
* demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
* be a strategic problem solver, willing to 'try and fail quickly' in pursuit of innovation
* show excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* have a collaborative mentality and the confidence to inspire change

This is a full-time role for a fixed-term period of 24 months.
