Working as part of a close-knit team, you will support the estate's falconry operations and ensure the highest standards of welfare, cleanliness, and care are maintained.

The Role

As an Assistant Breeder, you will assist in all aspects of falcon breeding and husbandry, from food preparation and daily care to maintaining breeding chambers and observing the birds' wellbeing. You will also support general estate maintenance tasks and contribute to the smooth running of the falconry facilities. This is a hands-on role requiring dedication, responsibility, and a genuine passion for working with birds of prey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and care for imprinted falcons, assisting in their development for future breeding.
  • Monitor the health and condition of falcons, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Take responsibility for a set number of falcons, depending on skill and experience.
  • Assist with estate maintenance and upkeep as required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Support additional estate locations and related tasks as directed by management.
