About the Service

Elwood Recruitment are recruiting Children’s Support Workers Dudley. We are looking for dedicated and experienced individuals to support vulnerable children within a small residential environment.

As part of the care and support team you will assist in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences and independent living skills to children and young people aged 5-18 yrs living with moderate to severe learning disabilities, complex needs, learning disabilities (LD) emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and sensory impairment.

Some elements of this role require personal care.

Successful applicants will be:

· Supporting, mentoring and educating children with day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs

· Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living

· Positive engagement to encourage children and young people in their development

· Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development plan.

· Managing complex and behaviours that may challenge

· Support and engagement with a range of activities

On offer we have flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle, giving you full control of when you would like to work. Candidates can expect to be offered a mixture of earlies, lates, long days and waking nights on a weekly basis.

Essential Experience:

Care & Support Work: 6 Months in the UK

QCF/NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People
