​Equans is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. The purpose of the role is to ensure the security, care and availability of the education premises its furniture, fittings and equipment, and mechanical and electrical assets. To ensure the physical environment of the premises is satisfactory for users; and to promote the efficient use of the Councils assets to support the educational objectives of the establishment and the activities of other site users.The post holder will assist the Account Manager and provide line management to the site team to ensure standards of cleanliness, compliance and site cohesiveness. What will you deliver?Line manage all Premise Officers across the Birmingham Schools BSF portfolioAssist the Soft Services Operations Manager with total site compliance, collating paperwork ensuring it is accurate, up to date and always ‘audit ready’, assisting with remedial worksCarry out weekly statutory PPM’s, ensure accurate recordingReview subcontractor RAMS and ensure company procedures are adhered toReport sickness and absence, manage holiday allowance and ensure site always has adequate cover - ensure management of staff turnoverBe the primary point of contact for Equans on site, providing effective communication with the school clients and ensuring a good relationship is maintainedEnsure all jobs are logged on the helpdeskManage the open jobs for your site(s), ensuring timely closure on all helpdesk events, to avoid any financial penalties due to over-running allocated time thresholdsDemonstrate a sound awareness and knowledge of health and safety, ensuring staff and subcontractors are working safely at all timesCarry out monthly Management Safety Visits and ensure all safety observations and near misses are logged on AIMSEnsure site teams training and Toolbox Talks are up to dateProvide support in emergency situations, such as fire evacuations, operate a fire panel / systemProvide assistance to the Soft Services Operations Manager in provision of site information, e.g. drawings, measurementsEnsure all Authority Damage paperwork is signed and provided to the admin team monthlyTo complete monthly reports and submit to the Soft Services Operations Manager on the first working day of each calendar monthWork flexibly, providing occasional overtime and weekend cover for lettings and additional school periodsAttend all meetings, as directed by the Soft Services Operations Manager, with the SPV and Authority What can we offer you?
