Crynodeb
Location: Jubilee Library, Jubilee Street, BrightonHours: 40 hours per week, shifts between 7am and 7:30pm Monday to Sunday. Shifts typically rotate every two weeksWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?As a Security and Caretaker, you'll be working within the Brighton PFI team supporting them in maintaining a safe, secure and fully operational environment for the library.
Your day to day will include:
-Carrying out routine and reactive maintenance to ensure the building remains fully operational
-Opening and closing the building and supporting library managers with customer-related issues
-Completing compliance checks including water flushing, fire alarm tests and plant room inspections
-Assisting with porterage tasks and conference room setups
-Supporting the cleaning team when required including unblocking toilets or addressing mess created by the public
What are we looking for?This role of Security and Caretaker is great for you if:
-You have experience in security or caretaking within a customer-facing environment
-You hold an SIA Security qualification or badge
-You can confidently deal with members of the public and support onsite staff with difficult situations
-You can complete basic compliance tasks and maintain daily reports
-You are adaptable and willing to support cleaning or general maintenance duties when required
