What skills and experience we're looking for
Mount St Mary’s serves a community rich in different cultures and backgrounds. We are rightly proud of the impact we have and work tirelessly to ensure our students are a credit to themselves, the school and their families. The E-Zone enables students to share their experiences and diversity with other students. Outcomes for EAL students buck the national trends and narratives.

• 70% of EAL students at Mount St Mary's achieve a Grade 5+ or higher in GCSE English
• At least 56 different languages are spoken by EAL students at Mount St Mary's
We are looking for an EAL Progress Mentor to join our dynamic and energetic EAL team. The ideal candidate will be proactive in the delivery of in-class support as well as individual and small group interventions for students who are at different stages of English language acquisition.
Duties will include working with the EAL Co-ordinator in leading, planning and delivering a bespoke curriculum for EAL students, allowing successful candidates the opportunity to work independently and play to personal strengths.
Anyone looking to familiarise themselves with the setting ahead of the deadline should contact Mrs Stubbs to arrange a visit.
The post is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
