Wigston Academies Trust is looking to appoint a dedicated ELSA to provide tailored support to
our students including within the classroom. You will be committed to making a positive
difference to young people’s lives, supporting and developing their emotional learning. Your
intervention will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our young people, helping
them achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be proactive, familiar in working with children, engaging and
patient. You will have knowledge and experience of send, and have the ability to remain calm,
assertive and professional at all times. Being able to identify and monitor individual targets is
also key in this role.
You will need to demonstrate a desire to develop, deliver and evaluate interventions for both
individuals and small groups. Supporting students to achieve best outcomes by employing
relevant strategies developed as a result of significant experience, specialist knowledge, skill
and expertise.
