We are seeking to appoint an experienced Site and Compliance Lead to join the team at Life Skills Hub. This is a full time role, year round contract, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm but requires flexibility to meet the needs of the business.As Site and Compliance Lead the successful role holder will take the Lead responsibility for ensuring that both of our settings are fully compliant with all statutory health and safety regulations, ensuring our two sites are kept safe, compliant, functional, comfortable, and secure at all times, reporting into our Business Manager for oversight and direction.Essential RequirementsGCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification at Grade C/Level 4 or equivalent

IOSH Managing Safely
Duties will include:Provide effective line management for the caretaker, ensuring proactive delegation of daily tasks to maintain smooth operations. Oversee the timely execution of maintenance, compliance, and improvement schedules, addressing any issues promptly and efficiently. The role also includes conducting the caretaker’s appraisal process, holding weekly meetings, and monitoring the quality of their work.
To ensure that all site safety protocols are consistently maintained throughout the day, providing a secure and welcoming environment for everyone accessing both settings, including students, staff, visitors, and contractors.
Coordinate with tradespeople and contractors to arrange annual servicing, routine maintenance, and one-off improvement projects. Communicate effectively and professionally with all contractors, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard and fully complies with contract specifications.
Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required for training, continuing professional development (CPD), and other opportunities aimed at enhancing skills and experience.
Possess a strong understanding of maintaining high health and safety standards, ensuring all operations comply with relevant legislation. This includes obtaining necessary certifications and adhering to established safety protocols.
Demonstrate knowledge of key risks, hazards, and health and safety concerns, including but not limited to fire safety, legionella, asbestos, slips/trips, electrical systems, and heating.
