Our client is looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Central London office, the largest and most multi-disciplinary hub within the firm. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape high-profile projects across residential, commercial, healthcare, science & research and mission-critical sectors, while contributing to the development of a high-performing, collaborative engineering team.
London is a vibrant centre for innovation, with a broad mix of major developments and technically demanding schemes. You’ll work closely with specialist engineering groups, gaining exposure to complex projects and playing a key part in strengthening client relationships and driving technical excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Acting as a key client-facing representative, building strong relationships and identifying future opportunities
Leading large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects and coordinating all engineering inputs
Defining project briefs, taking ownership of delivery and ensuring profitability
Supporting and developing local team members, contributing to ongoing skills growth and progression
Managing and prioritising project workloads, delegating tasks and reviewing work produced by others
Supporting bid preparation and promoting the wider capabilities of the business
Monitoring expenditure, risk and resource needs, ensuring high-quality output across all stages
About You
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer delivering complex building services projects
Strong understanding of HVAC and wider mechanical systems
Skilled in design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD
Confident communicator with experience working across multidisciplinary teams
Able to mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
Familiar with relevant British Standards and industry design guidance
Experience in consultancy, with awareness of how complementary disciplines (acoustics, fire, modelling etc.) influence building design
