Site Quality Representative - Offshore Wind (WTG Marshalling Harbour)
Location: Northeast and/or Scotland
Contract: 12 Months (with potential extensions)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift Pattern: 12-hour days, 7 days per week, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Rate: £750 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Clearance: Basic Security Clearance + Medical Questionnaire + Right to Work in the UK
About the Role
Join a leading offshore wind project as a Site Quality Representative responsible for ensuring quality compliance during wind turbine generator (WTG) marshalling and pre-assembly operations. This is a critical role in maintaining technical standards and safety across all site activities, working closely with turbine manufacturer teams and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections of major WTG components (tower sections, blades, nacelles).
- Conduct final inspections prior to load-out and assembled tower walk-downs.
- Monitor preservation of components in line with project requirements.
- Track and close out punch list items; maintain accurate daily reporting.
- Participate in safety walkarounds and review quality documentation.
- Attend coordination meetings with manufacturer site teams.
- Liaise with commissioning and completions teams on outstanding issues.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in WTG construction within offshore wind projects.
- HNC or higher in engineering or construction discipline.
- Valid GWO certifications: Manual Handling, First Aid, Working at Heights, Fire Awareness.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes in EPC contract execution.
- Proven ability to manage contractor activities across preservation, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with project documentation and non-conformity management.
- Commitment to health, safety, and well being standards.
