Summary

We're looking for a Mechanical Site Manager to join our Defence JV team based in Coulport & Faslane.

Location: Coulport & Faslane (Helensburgh)

Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Within our Defence Joint Venture at Faslane and Coulport Naval bases, we deliver a wide range of capital projects involving new build, refurbishment and infrastructure works valued between £10m - £70M. As part of our project teams, you'll be overseeing subcontractors carrying out mechanical installations, ensuring safety, quality and performance against programme.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Mechanical Site Manager, you'll be working within the Defence JV team, supporting them in delivering high-quality mechanical installations in a specialised environment. Your day to day will include:

-Managing and directing subcontractor partners to deliver complex mechanical installation works

-Ensuring compliance with safety standards by reviewing risk assessments and conducting regular toolbox talks

-Coordinating site logistics and movement of resources while maintaining safety standards

-Checking work quality against design specifications and collaboratively resolving any technical challenges

-Creating and maintaining accurate site documentation using relevant digital platforms

What are we looking for?

This role of Mechanical Site Manager is great for you if:

-You have experience working within a main contractor or large MEP contracting environment

-You hold a relevant Mechanical qualification (Degree/HND/SCQF or equivalent)

-You understand how MEP packages integrate within building projects and can ensure quality delivery

-You possess essential certifications including SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid

-You have good IT literacy and can adapt to project management software solutions
