Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? Then, you are in the right place!

An opportunity has arisen for the position of Operational Support Assistant within the Care Services Operational Support Team at Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP).
Care Services deliver essential support to vulnerable older adults across Glasgow, helping them live independently and with dignity in their own homes.

This is a predominantly customer-focused, call-handling role where you will respond to a variety of telephone enquiries related to customer service and home care provision, acting as a key point of contact for the home care team.

Reporting to the Operational Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for updating and maintaining bespoke IT system records, and liaising with both internal and external bodies to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times. A good understanding of IT systems, including Word and Excel, would be advantageous.

You will also liaise with Care Services Home Care Co-ordinators regarding urgent service user reports and follow clearly defined processes and procedures.

We’re looking for a confident, friendly, and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Please note that interviews will take place week beginning 19 January 2026
