SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - CTEMPORARY POSTSStarting: ASAPNetherhall Mead is a very effective, well-resourced special school for pupils aged 4-19 years who have severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. We are part of The Mead Educational Trust (TMET), a growing partnership of primary and secondary schools across the East Midlands, committed to ensuring every pupil achieves their very best. At Netherhall Mead we are proud of our warm inclusive community and are seeking to appoint temporary Level 1 Teaching Assistants, with the potential for these roles to become permanent depending on the needs of the school.
We’re looking for someone patient, reliable, and eager to learn and someone who brings warmth, confidence, and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment where children can grow and thrive. With full training provided, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.
Hours: 32 ½ hours per week - 39 weeks (school term time + 5 training days).Salary: Grade Band 4, Points 7 - 10, £20,169 - £21,500 (actual salary)
The successful candidate will have good basic education.
Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS check. Applicants will also be required to undertake pre-employment checks which will include a declaration that neither they, nor anyone who lives in the same household, is a disqualified person under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2018 as well as other necessary checks.
Online checks will also be carried out on shortlisted candidates in line with KCSIE recommendations.
