What You'll Be Doing

As an Apprentice at Mitie, you'll be at the heart of what we do, making a real impact from day one. Here's a glimpse of what your journey could include:

-Developing core skills and knowledge for Business Administration and Helpdesk operations

-Collaborating with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience.

-Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, making safety and sustainability a priority in every task.

Main duties

To learn all aspects of the Service Desk Coordinator role

Taking ownership of a contract or portfolio of buildings as part of ongoing learning

Scheduling and planning works for engineers and sub-contractors

Up-dating jobs on Maximo or other CAFM system and use of other planning platform(s)

Ensure Purchase Orders for all contracted works are correctly raised and approved for payment

Monitoring the mailbox and ensuring that all incoming emails are dealt with

Review all certification, worksheets and contractor reports to capture any remedial works required

Working with site operational team to provide any support they require, including providing Management Information for customer reports

Prepare quotations as required

Learn and understand the planner roles for other contracts to be able to help with absence cover

Regular communications - both via Teams call and Emails

Able to build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Attaching certification, purchase orders, documentation as required into Maximo

What we are looking for

-Willingness to learn and develop into the role

-Commitment to completing the apprenticeship course

-Possess good IT skills.

-Flexible can do attitude

-Have the ability to interact and communicate as appropriate with their audience, which will encompass colleagues, engineers, contract and performance managers and third party suppliers.

-Work effectively under pressure within a busy and diverse environment.

-Show a creative approach to analysing and solving problems using technology and reported information.

-Adhere to process and compliance requirements.

-Work well as part of a team

As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Business Admin qualification which normally runs for 2 years. You will be fully supported by our partnered to achieve this qualification by having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.

Our dedicated Apprenticeship Team will support you every step of the way, helping you make the most of your opportunities and to achieve the goals you already have - and those you have yet to discover!

The successful candidate will be required to be security vetted to CTC level.



Could you be our next Apprentice?

We're searching for ambitious, driven individuals who are excited about learning and ready to take on new challenges. To succeed as a Mitie apprentice, you'll need:

-A keen interest in your chosen field.

-The ability to think critically and find solutions.

-Dedication to completing your apprenticeship and growing with Mitie.

-GCSEs in Maths and English (Grades 4-9 or equivalent) or Scottish National 5 certificates (Grade A-C). Certificates must be provided at the interview stage.

No prior experience? No problem! If you're enthusiastic and ready to learn, we'll give you all the tools you need to succeed.
