Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Winsford-based two-form entry primary school that is at the heart of its local community as they require an experienced teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis due to a teaching assistant in the year 6 class leaving the school. You will offer 1:1 and group support across the class with a focus on interventions and behavioural support, as there are a number of pupils with big personalities that are unfortunately falling behind on the curriculum. You will independently plan, prepare and deliver interventions in core subjects to make subject shortfalls areas of strength. This will include intense interventions for lower ability pupils within a separate classroom. Other duties will include:
- SATS preparation
- Implementing a myriad of positive behaviour strategies
- Break and lunchtime duties
- Accurately recording pupil progress and recognising key milestones, including learning journeys
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, have a minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years, and:
- Have good knowledge of and experience supporting the KS2 national curriculum
- Be at least Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
- Be able to commit to a full-time long-term contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
What you'll get in return
If you are successful in your application, you will receive the full support, dedication and guidance of a senior DfE accredited recruitment consultant, as well as a wide range of benefits, that include:
- Free training
- Upfront cost of DBS covered
- Long-term contract
- Company pension scheme
- Full holiday entitlement
- Competitive rate of pay
- Onsite parking
- Access to exclusive vacancies
- Refer a Friend scheme
