A non-maintained special school for ages 5-19, supporting learners with SEMH and associated needs. The school offers academic and vocational pathways, a therapeutic approach, and a strong focus on personal development.
About the role:
You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons across KS3-KS5, integrating trauma-informed strategies and restorative practices. The role includes teaching core subjects and vocational courses, supporting emotional regulation, and preparing pupils for post-16 progression.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Create engaging, personalised learning plans
- Foster resilience and positive behaviour through relational practice
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families
- Assess and track progress effectively
Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
- QTS/QTLS with proven experience teaching SEMH learners
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative approaches
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
