Caretaker
Hours: Full time, 37 hour per week. Split shifts Monday Thursday 6.30am 10.30am then 3pm 6.30pm. Fridays finish at 6pm
Salary: NJC Scale 3 point 5 6 £25,583 to £25,988 (actual pro rata £22,667 to £23,026)
Contract: Full time, Term time + 10 days, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
At Nevill Road Junior School we are a TEAM. As our school values state, ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, dedicated and effective Caretaker who will be responsible to the head teacher for the maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
We want someone who is able to:
- Clean a designated area to a high standard
- Ensure the premises are kept secure and safe. Including locking and unlocking the building, ensuring the alarm is activated.
- To undertake handyperson duties as appropriate. Have good DIY skills and a willingness to undertake routine maintenance.
- Ability to keep accurate records and conduct weekly safety checks.
- Have key holder responsibilities including attending call outs.
