Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic team worker who can work independently and as part of a team. You will be friendly, proactive, and self-motivated. In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
The role holder will work together with colleagues to provide administrative support and ensure day-to-day operational needs are met.
As an Administrator you will:
Support the Fire Safety Advisor with administrative tasks
Receive and respond to internal and external queries, providing advice and resolving both simple and complex issues queries
Support the coordination of Fire Risk Assessments
Monitoring budgets and raising purchases orders for the team.
Maintaining databases
Supporting with events and projects
You will bring:
Extensive level of IT skills, including MS Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams)
Ability to build working relationships within the department, contacts around the University and external suppliers
Ability to work independently to resolve complex internal and external queries.
Provide and maintain a high level of customer service whilst working to deadlines.
Accuracy, reliability and the willingness and adaptability to learn new skills and procedures.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st July 2026 on a part time basis (29 hours per week). The role is offered with a hybrid approach, with a minimum of three days in the office, subject to operational needs.
