Machinist – Croydon (Permanent, Full-Time)
We are recruiting an experienced Machinist to join our busy engineering workshop in Croydon. This is a stable, hands-on role within a global leader in intelligent drive technology.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair and overhaul of mechanical equipment from the rail, marine, power, oil and gas industries
Salary: £34,980–£41,040 + annual bonus
Hours: Mon–Thurs 7:30–15:00, Fri 7:30–13:30

The Role
• Precision machining using manual and CNC equipment
• Reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
• Repairing, overhauling, and re-manufacturing components
• Inspecting parts and identifying faults
• Working with workshop teams to meet customer requirements
Key Skills & Experience for the CNC and manual machinist
• Proven experience as a machinist in engineering or manufacturing
• Strong mechanical background
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings
• Skilled with lathes, milling, grinding, or similar machinery
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
