Teaching Assistant
Location: Leicestershire (LE12)
Pay: £100 - £110 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term to permanent
About the Role
We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the LE12 area. The school supports pupils aged 6-17 with social, emotional and mental health needs, often alongside Autism or additional learning needs.
Classes are small with high staff ratios, and pupils follow a personalised curriculum including academic lessons, outdoor learning, life skills and therapeutic activities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Help students with emotional regulation, confidence and behaviour
- Assist with learning activities across academic, creative and outdoor subjects
- Support daily routines and create a positive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
Requirements
- Experience with SEN, SEMH, Autism, youth work or sports coaching is desirable
- Calm, patient and confident approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
